This is just a short writeup. I finished my Nixie Enhanced Klock Object after having it sit on my desk, half-finished, for the longest time. You can see a demo of all the digits scrolling at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYj99RoIDUs |

I got the tubes from a centuries-old multimeter that was sitting around in my lab, and I pulled them out rather unceremoniously. |

No fancy circuit or anything. I just used Russian 74141 chips that were built for the specific purpose of running these tubes. The High Voltage power supply is from a kit I got at Neonixie. |

An Atmega168 with a DS1307 keeps the time. I built the circuit using the datasheet that came with the B-5750S tubes. Each type of nixie tube has a different pinout, so a schematic would be useless if you have different tubes. If you really want one anyway, email me and I'll post it up. |
